feeling the energy

im loving how it starts but why does it go quiet after? needs moar loud!
very nice use of synths, especially the background one with the reso @ 1:30
if you could pack more punch from the kit it would make all the difference i think.
8 easy

good job dude

Hades responds:

Damn, just now I've realized I haven't responded on this one. :P It lost a whole lot of volume due to the loudness of the bass which sucked out the strength out of pretty much anything else (including the drumkit). I'm not really a pro at FL, so I couldn't aid the problem. Thanks for commenting, and sorry for taking so long to respond.

awesome track

real nice and dreamy.the quality is that of a proffesional standard and im loving the chord sequence. AND you broke the golden never change tempo rule right at the end with it sounding good =]

10/10 and 5/5 to you sir

cycerin responds:

Haha I just turned the tempo knob down with the program recording. Luckily it didn't sound like shit! Thanks for the review!

great sounds

some nice synths in there, good underlining guitar too!

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

Thanks man. I did alot of work on this one. It's my favorite next to Madness '08. Thanks for the feedback!

"Sounds best at high volume"

id say that about all music but my neighbours disagree =[

good job on this, alot of different parts keep it nice and interesting.

Sebby64 responds:

Thanks a lot. You must blast your speakers really loud if your neighbors complain about it.

\o/

well no ones done it yet so imma start the reviews,

"chaotic lepper gnome minstrels dancing round a dead witch in a cathedral"

yup that sums it up for me. i have to say the vocals were veeery nice, they fitted PERFECTLY! more vocals plz =]

DonaldFletcher responds:

You got it mate. The project I'm working on now is going to be my most vocal-centered track since 2004! Thanks for the comment.

Your imagery made me laugh because I always get an impression like that around 20 seconds into the song. Which was mostly my intent, conveying a bit of playful chaos with dark undertones. Guess it worked (mostly, haha)

oh im feeling this

im loving the structure + beat

<3 random glitchy lazers

a little to much gain on the snare for meeeeeeeee though

Teddybeere responds:

Hm, I think I know what you mean but the rest of the instruments were recorded a bit too loud so the snare wasn't really hearable when undistorted. Thanks for the review. There can be found very much lazers in all the new songs, as I'm thinking about it...

Great build

The thing that makes this track stand out for me is the slow build up, something thats not easy to pull off in this kind of track.
The dirty repetitive bass really makes this a classic industrial song while the soft, minor synth give it a gothic feel which adds depth. great use of reverb fills in the gaps and gives a very open feel to the track, good job.

the only issue i have with this track is the lack of rich textures,(oscillators and or real instruments would be nice) but that is an opinion thing and wouldnt mark on it.

when i hear this i imagine the composer rocking forwards and backwards infront of thier P.C whilst grinning and pulling the heads of dolls, seriously evil =p

DonaldFletcher responds:

Haha, thanks for the comments. This girl I used to know was the "pull the heads off dolls" type. Ha, she thought she was going out with me at the time. So even on top of the fact that she weighed 200 lbs that was never gonna happen because you never know what parts of me she wanted to keep! Thank god that chick always hated my music.

I'm glad you mentioned the reverb. I'm planning on doing more with the realtime slider on my next track. I've got a thing for dynamic effects like that though I consciously try not to overuse them. My next track is going to be even harder than my current standard so we can probably expect a little more of that.

Actually, there should be a little more of a lot of things in my next track. I don't want to spoil anything, but believe me I'll be taking everyone's advice seriously here. I'll say one thing though, if you like evil you'll probably dig what I have planned vocally. Something totally demonic in a sweet, romantic sort of way. Not 100% sure how long it's gonna take me to record/arrange everything (ETA two to three weeks) but I can promise that when I do release it, it'll be when I'm confident that it's the best damn thing I've ever made!

Good job

Nice use of synths, fresh sound, interesting chord progression

10 BOOM!

1zin1 responds:

hey thanks alot mate, glad ya liked it

argghh!

So frustrating! its like a half finished song!

1. Ditch the piano in place of a decent bass line but keep the chord progression
2. instert a lead melody
3. pan the kit, it sounds flat
4. im feeling a violin type of ambient pad in the background with slow attack. same as the new and improved bassline? would work nicely!

its got loads of potential so hurry up and finish it!

Jonathan1989 responds:

Thanks for you constructive comments!

I will update this song as soon as i can...
